DIY Rustic Scrap Wood and Pipe Toilet Paper Holder

Hi There! Today, I have a super easy and essential project for you! Our Toilet Paper Holder is on the fritz, so I decided to make one- because DIY is best, right?! This one is super sturdy, and even has a little shelf for your cell phone. TMI, but I carry my phone in my back pocket, and am a little paranoid I’ll drop it on the toilet someday. This Rustic DIY Toilet Paper Holder is the perfect fix!

Alright, enough of that talk- let’s make this!

Here’s what you’ll need-

-1- 1/2″ Floor Flange

1- 1/2″ Elbow

1- 1/2″ Tee

3- 1/2″ Connector Nipples

2- 1/2″ Caps

1- 1/2″ x 6″ Nipple

2- 3/4″ Washers

1- Scrap Piece of 1×4 @ 9 1/2″

Drill with 3/4″ Spade Bit

2- Pipe Wrenches

ClampsFirst up, clamp down your scrap wood and drill a hole. I centered mine 2″ from the end-

If you drill your hole about 3/4 of the way- just til the tip pokes through all the way- then flip your wood and finish, you’ll get a cleaner hole 😉

Go ahead and sand and finish your scrap wood however you’d like.
Now, put one of your washers on the bottom thread of one of the nipples. Then screw that into one end of your tee. Now, add another nipple on the side of your tee along with your floor flange.

Then you can add your final short nipple, along with your elbow, 6″ nipple, and an end cap.
Now, take your 1×4 and slide it onto the top nipple over the washer. Add another washer over the wood, finishing with your final end cap.

Use 2 pipe wrenches to tighten everything up, keeping your wood and bottom bar facing whichever direction you’d like 🙂

All finished! Go ahead and install by screwing the floor flange into the wall- into studs if possible 🙂

No more phone in the toilet paranoia 😉

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!
