Daddy Daughter Spaghetti Sauce

Brad and Shelby are the Spaghetti makers around here. After trying and tweaking several Spagetti Sauce recipes they came up with this creation and we love it! We use sausage that we make right here on the Ranch, so if you’re wondering how to use up some of that Wild Game sausage- look no further! You can use store-bought sausage as well!

My family eats this on regular noodles, and I love it on either a bed of fresh Spinach, or sautéed zucchini noodles.

For another great recipe using breakfast sausage- check out our biscuits and gravy 🙂

Daddy Daughter Spaghetti Sauce

A delicious Spaghetti Sauce! Perfect on noodles, zoodles, or a bed of spinach.

  • 1 Pound Sausage (We use bulk sausage (looks like hamburger))
  • 1 Tablespoon Minced Onion
  • 1 teaspoon Minced Garlic
  • 1 Can Tomato Paste- 6 oz
  • 2 Cans Tomato Sauce- 15 oz each
  • 1 teaspoon Basil
  • 1 teaspoon Parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1/2-1 Cup Water (Use more for a longer simmering time)

  1. Brown the sausage in a large sauce pot, adding the minced onion and garlic midway through.
  2. Once the sausage is browned, add the remaining ingredients.
  3. Bring just to a boil while stirring, then reduce heat and allow to simmer for 30 minutes or more. Put a lid on it to reduce any splattering, and add a little more water if it gets too thick. Make sure to stir occasionally to keep it from burning- and enjoy over noodles, zoodles, or spinach 🙂
We love a little fresh, grated parmesan as well.
    Enjoy!!
